Gifts
You can support the Mackinac Straits Health System Foundation in many ways. All levels of contributions are needed to make this fund raising campaign a success. So whether you can give one dollar or one million dollars, your community needs your commitment. Every dollar you give will benefit you and your family today as well as future generations of Straits area residents. Here are the levels of support needed to make this health care dream a reality.
Community Donors
- Supporters - $1.00 - $249 donors who will be recognized in the Book of Gifts
- Sustainers - $250 - $999 donors will receive recognition in the Book of Gifts and a name on the Donor Wall.
- Patron $1,000 – $4,999 donors receive recognition in the Book of Gifts, a name on the Donor Wall, and a gift plaque on an interior furnishing.
- Guardian $5,000 – $9,999 donors receive recognition in the Book of Gifts, a name on the Donor Wall, a gift plaque on an interior furnishing and with a plaque and high-quality photo portrait on a select room within the facility.
- Partners contribute at least $10,000 and will be listed in the Book of Gifts, a name on the Donor Wall, a gift plaque on an interior furnishing, a plaque and high quality photo portrait on a select room within the facility, and a special commemorative designation.
Other Opportunities For Giving
There are as many giving opportunities for the Mackinac Straits Health System Foundation as there are areas of interest for our friends. If you or your family has been touched by a particular disease, you may choose to support the development of that area of our new facility or to remember a family member with a donation specified for use in supporting that area of the facility. Gifts can be designated for a specific area of the health care complex or for general use in building this exciting new facility. Straits Area Healthcare welcomes gifts of all sizes and also welcomes gifts other than cash. Donations to the facility can be paid over time, between three to five years depending on the amount of the contribution. If you are interested in making a bequest to the hospital in your will or setting up another form of planned giving, please contact our fundraising co-chairs to help make these arrangements. Unless you request anonymity, we will acknowledge your gift accordingly.
