A family practice physician, Dr. Leja has been providing care to patients in the Cheboygan area since 1983. She provides care to the entire family, from pediatrics to geriatrics. Dr. Leja sees patients at the Rivertown Medical Clinic and serves as the Health System’s Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Dr. Leja’s career includes an extensive history in both ambulatory and hospital medicine. She has served as President of the Michigan Academy of family practice. Additionally, she has served in a number of medical staff leadership roles throughout the years, including board trustee since 2019 for both the Mackinac Straits Health System and Straits Area Pharmacy.
